General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) almost killed Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) a couple of months ago because he believed that Dex was working for his enemy against him.
While it’s true that Dex was a mole, he was actually there to help Sonny at the behest of Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). But that wasn’t always the case.
When Michael first hired Dex, he wanted Dex to find enough incriminating evidence to put Sonny in prison for the rest of his life.
Michael changed his mind, so Dex remained in the position. But Sonny didn’t care if Dex now had altruistic motives.
General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Exiled Dex Heller!
Sonny decided to spare Dex’s life, but he forced Dex to leave town forever. Dex’s girlfriend, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) tracked Dex down and convinced him to return to Port Charles.
Dex helped save Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zomprogna) life. Since Dex saved his son’s life, Sonny hasn’t seemed to be in a hurry to kill Dex with disobeying his wishes. But Dex’s next move may be one that Sonny can’t overlook.
GH Spoilers – Dex Heller Is Joining The Police Force!
Joss discovered that Dex almost killed Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) on Sonny’s order. Joss realized she really didn’t know Dex at all, so she dumped him. Joss’ rejection led Dex to confess to Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
Instead of arresting Dex, Anna decided to let Dex go, telling him that their conversation never happened. But later Anna had an idea, and invited Dex to join the police academy.
She reasoned that she could help protect Dex from Sonny and his knowledge of Sonny’s organization could help the force put Sonny away.
GH Spoilers – Ava Jerome Has Sonny Corinthos’ Ear!
Sonny may be conflicted about what he should do about Dex. On one hard, Dex saved Dante’s life. But if he lets Dex live, he runs the risk of Dex exposing some of Sonny’s criminal methods. In recent weeks.
Sonny has pretty much isolated himself from everyone except for Ava Jerome (Maura West). Ava used to be in the mob as well, so she knows full well that be leaving Dex alive, Sonny might look weak to his enemies.
So she might very well convince Sonny that Dex is too much of a threat to let live. Given Sonny’s current mental state, it likely won’t be hard to convince him.
