As he wrote in the post, “I’m not particularly sentimental but it’s really nice to see the amazing @_melissaarcher @trevorstj and @davidfumero. Two decades later and we’re all still friends.”

However, Easton would recieve comments from an actress who worked with him with his later soaps: actress Kelly Monaco, who worked with him on various shows. She wrote that, “I will cherish our memories and forever be indebted to you for leading me, teaching me and guiding me through the nostalgia of all my firsts.”

Easton has had quite a history with soaps, with his first big role being Tanner Scofield on Days of Our Lives. However, he left the role in 1993 to take care of his mother. who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. However, Easton would eventually return to the world of daytime television.

The actor would return to the world of daytime television with Port Charles, a General Hospital spin-off with supernatural themes. In this series, he played the vampire Caleb Morley. After the series ended, he went on to play McBain on One Life to Live.

Monaco Even Revealed Which Character Was Her Favorite

Monaco paid homage to two of Easton’s characters in her comments. As she wrote, “Caleb (from Port Charles) will forever hold the number one spot in my heart, John McBain is a close second.”

Much like Easton, Monaco originally started on Port Charles, playing the characters of Livvie Locke and Tess Ramsey. In 2003, however, she became a series regular on the parent show, General Hospital, playing Sam McCall, as well as her lookalike Alicia Montenegro. Her last appearance on the show was in August 2024.

As noted by Soaps, Monaco continued to praise Easton for his help during their time working together. As she shared, she particularly praised Easton’s “patience and dedication” and “making sure I felt safe and seen. Two-plus decades later, your impact has forever made an imprint on my soul.”
