Actor Sebastian Roché is known for a variety of roles, from The Vampire Diaries to 1923. However, to soap opera fans, he is known for playing Jerry Jacks on General Hospital. In a recent joint interview, the actor talked about whether or not fans would be seeing him back in Port Charles sometime soon.
Sebastian Roche Took Over The Role Of Jerry Jacks on General Hospital In 2007
The French-American Roché is known to soap opera fans as Jerry Jacks on General Hospital. Taking over for Julian Stone, he first appeared in the role in 2007. Appearing on and off, his last appearance on the soap would be in 2015.
Over the years, Roché has appeared in a variety of well-known series, such as Fringe, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, and The Originals. He has also appeared in films including New York City Serenade, Beowulf, Safe House, and A Walk Among the Tombstones.
That said, fans often wondered if Roché ever planned to make a return to Port Charles. Recently, the star spoke with People in a joint interview with his wife, actress Alicia Hannah-Kim.
While Roché thought fondly of the role, he admitted, “I think it’s firmly in the past. It was a great memory.”
Roché Also Talked About Playing Father Renaud On 1923
The actor admitted he wants a different role in the entertainment industry. As he noted, “It was a great experience, but now I’m really in the creative. We have a lot of plans — Ali producing and writing, and me writing and continuing to act.”
That said, Roché wasn’t against the idea of returning to General Hospital entirely. He admitted, ”Who knows … Grandpa Jack. You never know.“ His wife also added, “We’ll schedule it in for 2060.”
In one of his more recent projects, Roché plays Father Renaud in the Yellowstone series, 1923. When discussing other possible projects, he mentioned he would love to “do another one of Taylor Sheridan’s 25,000 shows.”
The actor also spoke fondly of working on 1923: “Just being on set, I was pinching myself in costume on horseback.” He continued, “It’s going to be a very interesting [second] season. But it really is a dream come true in terms of a young French boy growing up near Paris, watching American movies.”
“And, then, here I am. On a massive set of a Western with an extraordinary part and an extraordinary journey in my character.”
Sometimes, Roché admits he sometimes can’t believe his life is real. He shared, “I love those moments,” he added. “I’m like, ‘Oh, here I am. You’re dreaming. What you were dreaming about is reality, and here you are.’“
