General Hospital Update: Friday, September 8 – Safety Bubble Bursts, Enemy Territory and Rock-and-Roll Bonding
General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, September 8, reveals that Ava Jerome (Maura West) will think it’s time for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to face the facts. Although Nina has been panicking over Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) legal woes, she needs to get used to situations like this if she’s going to be a mob wife.
At Ferncliff, Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) will push for answers now that he’s stopped Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) from fleeing with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson).
Of course, Cody will think Dr. Montague is the one who needs to answer for his behavior since he’s clearly giving Sasha drugs that she doesn’t need.
After Cody recognizes Dr. Montague from Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) poker games, he’ll realize how Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) met the twisted doc and set all this in motion.
Cody will put his own safety at risk to save Sasha as he faces off with Dr. Montague, but they’ll ultimately manage to flee Ferncliff and leave Dr. Montague behind.
At the recording studio, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will watch “Eddie Maine” aka Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) in action.
“Eddie” will show off his talent and once again pull Olivia closer despite his new personality.
There are some elements of the real Ned that keep shining through – like how sweet “Eddie” is to Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda).
“Eddie” will include Leo in this recording session somehow and leave Olivia grateful for the gesture.
Other GH spoilers say Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will try to make a kind gesture of her own, but it won’t go over well.
Anna’s decision to visit Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) at the beach house will lead to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) lashing out.
Since Anna may have been the target at the Metro Court pool, she’ll feel awful about Curtis’ paralysis and everything he’s going through now.
Portia will hold Anna at least partially responsible and will rip into her for daring to show her face on their doorstep.
Anna will be sorry for Curtis’ struggles and will apologize if her presence is a problem. However, Curtis may have a bigger problem with Portia trying to control who visits him.
Curtis doesn’t need his family to treat him like he’s made of glass. It’s clear that Curtis doesn’t want to live in a bubble, so he’ll express that on Friday’s episode.
Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) will get an earful as Curtis insists they all need to lay off when it comes to how protective they’re being.
Next, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will fret over how badly he botched things when he threw away the flash drive pieces in a public garbage bin.
Dex should’ve burned those pieces instead and eliminated any possibility of the feds retrieving the information.
Now Dex fears his mistake could be why Sonny’s locked up and facing potentially devastating news about his future.
That’s probably not the case at all, but it won’t stop Dex from worrying and beating himself up over the blunder.
