Ryan Paevey credits General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini with his return. He told Deadline in August that they discussed different storyline ideas when he was asked to come back.
One possible storyline is bringing Nathan West back from the dead. The police detective was shot and killed by his father, Cesar Faison in 2018. Ryan Paevey left the show that year to star in more Hallmark movies. Nathan’s sister, Britt, recently returned to Port Charles after faking her own death.
Ryan Paevey already started filming at the ABC soap opera. He makes his on-screen return to General Hospital return this month. Fans will find out then if he’s playing Nathan West or a brand-new character.

Ryan Paevey earned a lot of fans as a Hallmark Hunk. He starred in Unleashing Mr. Darcy and Marrying Mr. Darcy, among other movies on the channel. His break from acting came amid his mother’s battle with cancer. In his latest update, he said that she’s doing better, which was part of why he felt it was the perfect time to return.
The General Hospital star revealed an unexpected new series on social media earlier this week. He created a YouTube series called The Wanderers.
“The Wanderers highlights the beauty of San Diego’s coastline, from hidden beaches to popular breaks. Whether you’re into longboarding, riding a fish, or just watching a mellow California surf session, this video captures the vibe of surfing in San Diego,” the description of the series says on YouTube.
The first episode called “Pretty Sure It’s Better to Live Life Chasing Adventure” shows a glimpse at the actor’s life off-screen. His close friend, Toshi, is featured in the first episode.
Ryan Paevey takes viewers into his jewelry studio in the first episode. He also hits the beach to surf. The General Hospital star revealed that he tries to surf at least once every day. Luckily, he lives in California, where the sun is always out, and the waves are calling.
