General Hospital Star, Kirsten Storms Gets In A Vicious Accident, Reveals Bruised Face To Fans
Logging on to Instagram on August 8, 2024, gave us an ultra shock. General Hospital star, Kirsten Storms, popularly known as Maxie, posted a picture of herself, showing a scary black eye! For a hot mini-second, we couldn’t comprehend how she could’ve gotten one. But then, her caption revealed it all.
Turns out, Kirsten Storms‘ coffee canister had exploded in her face, giving her that massive black eye. “I’ve opened several canisters of @illy_coffee tins and never have the grounds exploded out of that cute metal container. ::sigh:: There is a first time for everything,” the daytime star explained.
Thankfully it appears that the black eye is actually not a bruise but ground coffee. Furthermore, the General Hospital actress clarified that the coffee company is not to be blamed, as they have written the warning on the canisters, in several different languages. However, it is safe to say that she did not really enjoy the coffee on her face.
But hey! Better coffee than an actual black eye, right? As soon as she made the post, her co-star Finola Hughes jumped to the comment section to state that she initially thought the picture was for a GH storyline. Furthermore, she also added that the photo made her wonder, “Who would dare to give Maxie a black eye?”

Kirsten’s fans joked in the comment section about her witty post, while also expressing relief that she wasn’t actually hurt. One fan hilariously wondered if Corinthos’ Coffee was to blame here. We can’t help but chuckle at the wit! But all said and done, we are glad that Kirsten is alright, and sustained no injury. However, we do wonder whether she got a steaming cup of coffee after the catastrophe or not!
