Once Michael gets caught in the blaze and deals with terrible burns, Sonny will face a mixture of despair and fury.
GH fans know Sonny doesn’t mess around when it comes to his children and his desire to protect them.
Sonny may feel like he failed Michael just like he failed Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig), but he certainly won’t let the person responsible get away with this.

Who will turn out to be the foe behind Sonny’s penthouse explosion?
The show will have to reveal who’s to blame sooner or later, so we should mull over some possible options.
For starters, explosions are certainly Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) style, so we wouldn’t be surprised if he was to blame.
It’s easy to imagine Cyrus leaning into all the religious talk on this and condemning Sonny to the flames on his own personal judgment day.
However, it’s also possible this is related to the mob and someone’s desire to take over Sonny’s territory.
Selina Wu (Lydia Look) might be a possibility if the show decides to take her down a more sinister road, but she may continue to be an ally for Sonny instead.
Now that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is in town and settling into the role of Port Charles’ new resident baddie, he might even be behind the blast.
It all depends on what Sidwell’s full agenda is now that he’s back for another story arc.
Of course, it’d be a real twist if perhaps someone like Agent John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington) was back from the grave and seeking revenge!
Anything’s possible in the world of soaps, so that’s something to keep in mind.
The show could even introduce a new adversary for Sonny depending on how things play out.
It’s too early to say for sure who’s targeting Sonny, but he’ll definitely resolve to figure out who’s responsible and wipe them off the map!
