General Hospital Spoilers: Ava & Valentin Work Together Against Sonny – Risky Partnership Ends in Disaster?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) recently talked to Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) about his Pikeman takeover since Valentin has been running the show ever since Brennan got himself stuck at Pentonville.

Brennan expressed concern about the failed attempts on Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) life since Sonny couldn’t be bought.

Sonny’s lack of cooperation is blocking Pikeman’s shipment plans and causing some unrest.

There are volatile, impatient customers who want to get the ball rolling ASAP, so Valentin assured Brennan there was a backup plan in motion.

The goal is to target Sonny through weakened bipolar meds that are mostly placebos, which could make his behavior erratic enough to push him too far and land him in Pentonville right along with Brennan.

Of course, we should also point out that Ava Jerome (Maura West) has been manipulating Sonny by fueling his paranoia about people he used to trust and hyping herself up as the only one he can rely on.

GH fans know Ava has been encouraging Sonny to drink more, which could make matters worse when it comes to the whole sabotaged meds situation.

The timing of Ava’s manipulation is interesting since we now know Valentin is scheming against Sonny as well.

It’s reasonable to think Ava and Valentin are partners on this – whether Ava is working with him by choice or perhaps being coerced.

It makes sense that Valentin was potentially behind Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) demise or at least knows who took him out.

Valentin may be the one who sent threatening messages to Ava, so that could be how she got roped into all this.

Austin’s grim fate and all the threats led to Ava becoming Sonny’s roommate, which gave her the perfect opportunity to play him like a fiddle.

However, Ava doesn’t really seem all that terrified or unwilling, so maybe there’s something in it for her, too.

If Sonny goes to prison, Ava will get full custody of Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola), so that’s something to keep in mind.

Despite Ava’s hopes and requests in the past, Sonny never agreed to officially change the custody agreement.

Ava might’ve decided she was tired of always being at Sonny’s mercy when it comes to when she’ll see Avery.

Just because Sonny has become more willing to let Ava be in Avery’s life now doesn’t mean it’ll stick.

Ava might be hoping she can have full custody rights by the end of all this – and she indeed will if Sonny gets incarcerated like Valentin plans.

It’s easy to see how this could’ve become a mutually beneficial arrangement, so maybe it’ll be revealed that Ava is part of Pikeman’s plans against Sonny.
