General Hospital Spoilers: Are Two Contract Actors Exiting – New Photoshoot Hints at Cast Cuts?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that some new promotional photos have left fans curious about the status of a couple contract players. Ricky Middlesworth is a photographer who’s worked with the GH cast before, so he thanked the show for having him back and hyped his latest photoshoot on Instagram.
“This one was for the record books: 50 actors, all singles, a few with outfit changes, and 13 small groupings, all in 1 day!
Huge thanks to our producer @mollieelizabethstyle and Jason Marshall at the show who moved mountains and made this all happen,” Middlesworth said.
That brings us to some interesting news about the cast pics that we should address since viewers are buzzing about it on social media.
Although both Michael Easton (Hamilton Finn) and Adam J. Harrington (John “Jagger” Cates) participated in the photoshoot and got pictures as singles, they were excluded from the group pics being used as key art to promote the show.
Of course, there have already been some predictions about Michael Easton’s potential GH exit based on some insider rumblings and other clues, so this could be another hint that Easton is out.
It’s odd for the show to not use a major vet who’s been around for years alongside all their other contract players for group promotional photos.
Maybe it’s because Easton won’t be part of the cast moving forward.
As for Adam J. Harrington, it’s possible the show just didn’t consider him an established enough face for the key art, but it’s equally possible he’s become a victim of cast cuts.
There’s a chance Harrington could be headed for the exit door as well, especially now that the show’s making adjustments to the writing team and trying to clean up some messes behind the scenes.
All the Pikeman drama will probably be wrapping up sooner rather than later, so will that lead to Agent Cates being written out?
Time will tell, but we wouldn’t be surprised if John ended up departing the show at that point.
Whatever the case, Harrington and Easton are the only contract players who took part in the photoshoot who are NOT part of the group photos for the key art.
That could indicate that the show doesn’t want to promote Easton and Harrington because they’re not sticking around, but it’s too early to say for sure.
