General Hospital predictions suggest Cyrus Renault could get everything he’s ever wanted since arriving in Port Charles on the ABC daytime drama.
Sonny Attacks Cyrus Renault on General Hospital
A while back, on GH, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was severely beaten by his rival, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). He had just discovered that his new wife, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), was the SEC rat.
And she’s responsible for turning Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in for insider trading. He was angry and betrayed when Cyrus ran into him at the church. He did provoke Sonny on General Hospital.
But the mobster’s reaction was wrong. He took all of his anger out on Cyrus and nearly beat him to death with his bare hands. He landed in the hospital where the PCPD officers urged him to give up whoever beat him.
At first, he didn’t want to but eventually, he told his sister, Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Francis), that it was her friend, Sonny. Of course, she couldn’t believe it and she was furious. Plus, she wanted him to pay the consequences.
And soon, all his mobster ways may catch up with him on General Hospital. Currently, the long-time mob boss of Port Charles is rapidly spiraling out and things aren’t looking good for him.
Kingpin Going down on GH?
It certainly appears that the General Hospital writers are setting the stage for Sonny to do prison time. He’s facing threats from all angles. The current head of Pikeman Security, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), wants to neutralize Sonny.
In fact, he’s the reason Sonny’s spiraling downward because he tampered with his bipolar medication. In addition to Val, FBI Agent John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) wants to put Sonny away for life.
And now, Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) agrees with him. She has always given Sonny a pass but after hearing how he ordered Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to murder Cyrus, she sees him differently. Now, she wants him held accountable on General Hospital.
Many people in Sonny’s life are seeing him in a new light. And it seems that it’s foreshadowing his downfall and his time is running out. Soon, Cyrus may be the one to put the Don away and ensure he pays for his crimes for once on GH.
General Hospital Predictions: Cyrus Wins in the End?
This week, Cyrus has a heartfelt discussion with Laura. Even though he was a major villain, Laura believes he can change and she hates what Sonny did to him. She’s also tired of him getting away with everything.
After the attack, Cyrus was going to press charges. However, Nina bargained with him so he’d drop them. Soon, Laura asks him if he’ll reconsider pressing charges against Sonny.
And there’s an excellent chance he will. He’s wanted Sonny out of the way since the very beginning on General Hospital. And now, he might be able to get rid of him legitimately and without breaking the law by putting him in Pentonville.
If so, he’ll finally get what he’s always wanted. However, if it plays out that way, it could cause him to revert to his evil ways and he could become a crime lord once again.
Plus, Sonny could very well get to Cyrus from behind bars and put another hit on him. GH is intensifying. Don’t miss it to see if Cyrus Renault puts an end to Sonny’s reign on the ABC soap opera.
