General Hospital: Max Gail Shares Medical Update – Heartfelt Message For Dear Friend’s Diagnosis
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that many viewers still miss Max Gail, who played the role of Mike Corbin on the ABC soap. Mike was Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) father and a fan favorite on GH until he ultimately passed away following his Alzheimer’s storyline.
Of course, plenty of people still like to keep up with Gail on social media. Gail has a dear friend named Sue who helps him by keeping up with his Facebook page and posting things when he’s not available.
Sadly, Sue revealed she’s been diagnosed with breast cancer, so she posted a message about that and mentioned her husband’s surgery as well.
It’s clear that there are some major medical issues going on in Sue’s family at the moment.
Max Gail later posted a video while he was out on his walk and shared some heartfelt words.
Fortunately, Sue’s breast cancer was detected early, so that’s good news in the midst of a difficult situation.
Gail asked fans to send thoughts, prayers and whatever else Sue’s way.
After Gail pointed out that Sue isn’t alone in her fight, he expressed his appreciation for everything Sue does to keep the page going.
Sue has an upcoming appointment with a breast surgeon to discuss her treatment plan, so she suggested in her own message that she’d know more about what she was up against soon.
Many fans have been sending a flood of comments to Sue, so she’s getting lots of positivity and encouragement.
It’s good to know that the online community she’s built on Max Gail’s page is stepping up to show support when it counts.

As for what’s coming up in Port Charles, Sonny will continue to struggle.
It’d be interesting if maybe Gail could reprise his role as Mike Corbin in heavenly form and guide Sonny since he’s done that in the past.
