‘General Hospital’ Maurice Benard Is A Hero, Saves Tiny Baby

Maurice Benard is best known for playing a crime boss on General Hospital. However, the man behind Sonny Corinthos has a lot of heart in real life. The star recently showed this side to himself on social media, sharing that she just saved a young life.

General Hospital Star Maurice Benard Shared The Story On Social Media

Benard is best known to audiences for playing mob kingpin Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital. He first appeared as the character in 1993, gradually becoming one of the soap’s central characters.

Over the years, Sonny has been a complex character, having his antagonistic and sympathetic moments. The real Benard, however, showed his heroic side as he and his family helped a young life, as revealed in a recent social media post.

Recently on social media, Maurice shared a video with his granddaughter, TT. In the video, the actor revealed they determined to help out a baby quail.

In the Instagram video, TT talked to her grandfather about the baby quail. Sharing that they were keeping the foundling in the kitchen, Maurice got up to check on it. The video was followed by a photo of the baby bird.

Maurice wrote in the caption, “We are trying to save the baby quail. It may be one of the cutest things you’ve ever seen. What should we name it?”

Fans Have Also Suggested Possible Names For The New Baby

Maurice recently shared a post in honor of his granddaughter back in April to celebrate her birthday. He shared, “My granddaughter, TT, has always been one of a kind, always, always unpredictable, as you can see. We have been hanging out for a long time with alpacas Goats whatever comes to mind I love her very much, even when she doesn’t allow me to hypnotize her.”

With Maurice’s recent post, fans took to the comments to share their reactions to seeing the baby quail as well as watching TT grow up. One fan wrote, “Awww TT is so precious. What are you going to name the baby quail?”

 

Maurice responded to this post, noting they were unsure what to name the baby quail, even admitting he wasn’t even sure if the bird would survive. That said, he also shared heart emojis with a few other posts, including name suggestions, giving some air of hope.

Fans also shared their prayers for the baby bird. Others also suggested possible names, some paying tribute to Maurice’s career. Some comments included:
