Haley Pullos had played the character of Molly on General Hospital for over a decade. A car accident leading to an arrest, however, would see the actress leave the role. However, rumors have recently come out that Pullos could return to the soap and fans and weighing in on the issue.
Haley Pullos Wasn’t The First To Play Molly &, So Far, She Hasn’t Been The Last
Pullos joined the cast of General Hospital back in 2009, taking on the role of Molly Lansing-Davis. Originally portrayed by pairs of twins, Pullos took on the role after the character had been aged up.
Other notable roles for the actress over the years include playing a younger version of Melinda on Ghost Whisperer and Bella in The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia. In addition, Pullos continued in her General Hospital role for over a decade.
However, Pullos would end up leaving the soap in 2023. At the time, it came to light that the actress had been in a car accident. As reported by The Los Angeles Times, it eventually came to light that she was arrested with a DUI charge, later being charged with two felony DUI counts. The actress was later sentenced to 90 days in jail in 2024, as reported by Decider.
Since then, a variety of actresses have taken on Pullos’ role on General Hospital. Following Pullos’ arrest, Holiday Mia Kriegel temporarily filled in for Molly. Other actresses to take on the role included Brooke Anne Smith and Kristen Vaganos.
However, rumors have recently come to light suggesting Pullos could be returning to the soap. The rumor had notably come out on Facebook with many fans responding.
Some Fans Think The Idea Would Be An Insult To Actress Playing Molly Now
Such claims were even shared by a Facebook GH fan page. As one fan wrote, “Ugh… General Hospital just posted that Haley Pullos is coming back to reprise her role as Molly in February. What a slap in the face to the most recent Molly.”
“She made the character palatable, especially now that she and TJ are broken up. And now they’re bringing [her back]? No, thank you.” The sentiment was General Hospital would never take her back as she would be a huge liability.
Many GH fans shared several similar sentiments, often feeling bringing Pullos back wouldn’t be fair to the character’s current actress. Many also shared disbelief in the rumors. That said, some fans were sympathetic towards Pullos. Some comments included:
- “If she’s outta prison and on probation it be a shock if she returned cuz Kristin has been playing the role so well and she’s a very beautiful young actress.”
- “Fake! She’s not! Just a rehash of what happened! Nothing about a return!”
- “I’m comfortable with who we have now as Molly. I do hope she can find a job that is what she needs to keep her happy and sober.”
- “She served her time owned up to her mistakes everyone deserves a second chance”
- “I wish her the best but I don’t see them firing the one playing Molly now just to bring her back.”
Ultimately, at this time, there is no official word that Pullos is returning to General Hospital anytime soon. For the time being, Molly current actress, Kristen Vaganos, is believed to currently remain in the role.
