Sasha is about to welcome a new member to her family, all the while keeping secrets, on General Hospital. However, the way the character is handling the situation is starting to leave fans scratching their heads. Some fans have recently taken to social media to discuss the issue, with some sharing why they think she’s acting the way she is.
Sasha Is Currently Keeping Something A Secret On General Hospital
On the soap, Sasha Corbin is the daughter, and only child, of the supercouple, Robert Scorpio and Holly Sutton. The character has been played by Sofia Mattsson since 2018.
Recently on the soap, Sasha has become pregnant with her second child, with her former fiancé, Michael Corinthos, being the father. Gradually, more and more characters are learning of the child. Even a dog was recently able to tell Sasha was pregnant on the soap.
However, the recent storyline has rubbed some fans the wrong way. One fan noted on Reddit that they were “really trying not to dislike Sasha.”
As they explained, they felt that Sasha was being contradictory. They noted, “Why does she think it’s okay for her to raise her baby alone, but she wants to make sure Michael gets custody of Wiley/Amelia?”
“I don’t get her logic. She keeps going off about it, and it’s annoying. If Michael is such a great father, she should be okay with him being in their child’s life.”
“Between that and her asking Jason to claim the baby, I can’t stand her right now. I usually like Sasha, so I’m hoping this part of the story ends soon.”
Taking to the comments, many fans felt that Sasha may have an underlying reason for her actions. In addition, some felt there were reasons behind the scenes to explain why Sasha was being written that way.
Some Fans Think The Soap Is Saving Something Big For Sweeps
For example, one fan noted, “She’s afraid to raise a Corinthos/Quartermaine/Scorpio. That’s why she was originally leaving town. Willy and Amelia’s heritage is already out there.”
However, the fan also mused that, “Reality is, it’s a plot device to buy time while Chad [Duell] decides if he’s coming back or not. I imagine we’ll see him again, or his recast, by May sweeps.”
This was in reference to Michael Cortinthos’ actor, Chad Duell, recently leaving the soap. At one point, fans suspected Sasha would even leave the soap with him.
Some fans shared similar ideas, explaining Sasha’s behavior, either in the series or on the writers’ behalf. Others, however, agreed that things didn’t make sense to them. Some comments included:
- “Not only that–she wants to make sure that the Q’s don’t try to take her baby if they find out it’s Michael’s. The Q’s and Corinthos’ both are well known for kidnapping and lying about paternity/maternity.”
- “Yeah, that’s what makes little sense with this story. Jason brings both mob drama and Q drama to the arena. It doesn’t make sense to claim him as the father.”
- “I don’t think they are planning to confirm the baby is Jason’s. They’re just going to let people think what they want to, until Michael’s custody situation is worked out. If they deny, then the question gets brought up, why were you talking to Jason privately about it? Which might lead to guessing Michael is the father.”
- “She is scared for her babies safety but she isn’t worried about having Jason being n the assumed father. It makes 0 sense.”
