General Hospital comings and goings: Double the fun with the twins playing Bailey Lou
Maxie’s rarely seen third child makes a General Hospital appearance this week when the family welcomes Mac back.
It’s hard to believe that General Hospital’s scheming Maxie Jones is a single mom of three, but life comes at you fast when you’re a soap character. Pre-teen Georgie and precocious James have been prominent Port Charles players recently, but we never see her youngest daughter, Bailey Lou. That’s about to change this week when twins Riley and Miley Plonski make their debut.
The Zuria Agency featured the little girls on their Instagram page, announcing their new role. They included a photo of Riley and Miley in pigtails with the caption: “Make sure to check out Riley and Miley in the new episode of General Hospital where the twins are playing the character Bailey. Today’s episode is airing on ABC.”
The twins’ mom also shared the good news on her own Instagram account with a clip of John J. York appearing on Good Morning America.
“The Plonski twins were on Good Morning America today celebrating the return of Mac on General Hospital! We are so grateful to have gotten to meet such a strong and kind man! He was definitely a great fake grandpa!”
It looks like the twins will be making their debut when York makes his return after being off-screen since last fall due to cancer treatments.
Bailey Lou had quite the auspicious soap beginning, as she was born on the side of the road after mom Maxie was kidnapped by a crazed nurse hired by unhinged baby daddy, Peter August. To keep the infant away from her father, Maxie handed her over to Brook Lynn so Brook Lynn could claim the baby as her own. Maxie told everyone her daughter had been kidnapped, but Brook Lynn made sure Maxie could see her daughter as much as possible.
Maxie originally named the baby Louise, but Brook Lynn called her Bailey. After Peter died and Maxie finally took the little girl back, she called her Bailey Lou as a thank you to Brook Lynn for taking care of her for so long.
