‘General Hospital’ Bryan Craig Shares Painful Truth About Sonny
General Hospital fans loved seeing Bryan Craig reprise his role as Morgan Corinthos recently. Well, technically he came back as Morgan’s ghost, but it was great to see him return to the ABC soap after so many years. The GH star took to social media to share some thoughts about his comeback and the exchange between Morgan and Sonny Corinthos (played by Maurice Benard). What he had to say was painfully true.
Sonny Corinthos Keeps Causing Pain For Those In His Life
Sonny Corinthos has a knack for getting the people he loves into trouble. Most recently on the soap, viewers have watched things spin out of control for those closest to Sonny once again.
The serial criminal killed FBI Agent John Cates (Adam J. Harrington). Carly (Laura Wright) and Michael (Chad Duell) helped him cover up the murder. Michael provided assistance getting rid of the evidence, while Carly gave Sonny an alibi.
However, that isn’t where things stopped. His daughter Kristina (Kate Mansi) stole a gun from his apartment. While Sonny wasn’t aware that Kristina did this, her mother Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) found the firearm. Afraid of what this meant, Alexis disposed of the gun.
Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) saw Alexis toss the gun into the water at the footbridge. They reported her to the police. Now, both Alexis and Kristina are potentially facing prison time for a crime they didn’t commit.
General Hospital Fans Know Bryan Craig Is Right
Of course, General Hospital fans know this isn’t the first time Sonny has gotten one of his kids wrapped up in his problems. Morgan Corinthos was no exception.
In recent episodes, Morgan’s ghost did his best to pull Sonny out of his funk. Morgan told Sonny that all of his children love him and that his death wasn’t his family.
The performances all around were spectacular, but General Hospital fans know that what Morgan said wasn’t necessarily true. Actor Bryan Craig took to Instagram to say as much.
In a since-deleted post, Bryan shared a clip of Morgan’s interaction with Sonny. The caption read, “But dad. Gotta be honest… It was kinda your fault…”
Though it’d be painful to hear coming from your kid, Bryan Craig isn’t wrong. It wasn’t totally Sonny’s fault, of course. Ava Jerome (Maura West) swapped out Morgan’s meds and Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) planted the bomb. At the core of all of it is Sonny though. His lifestyle makes it so that his children and people close to him are always mixed up in some kind of mob drama.
As mentioned above, Kristina is tied up now because of her dad’s murdering ways. She also just lost her baby. Michael had made enemies thanks to his pops. He wound up being in a coma from the time he was a young child to a young adult. Morgan wasn’t lucky enough to make it out alive.
