Future Of Coyote Pass !! Who Is Sole Owner Of Coyote Pass?

Sister Wives- “Monogamous” Kody & Robyn Won’t Build On Coyote Pass Land (Are They Making A Mistake?)

Sister Wives couple Kody and Robyn Brown will probably never live at scenic Coyote Pass. Why don’t they want to build on the Arizona land?

SUMMARY

  •  Kody and Robyn Brown are reportedly unwilling to build a home on their Coyote Pass land, probably due to the history of conflicts and disputes among the wives.
  •  Money’s also a factor, as building on Coyote Pass would require selling or renting their current home. The new house might be expensive. There are rumors that the couple’s prone to overspending.
  •  Janelle Brown’s the only family member interested in living at Coyote Pass. She wants to build a home there, but the rest of the family doesn’t share her enthusiasm. The future of the land’s uncertain. If Janelle rejoins the family, it’s more likely that Kody and Robyn Brown will put down roots there.

Kody Brown and Robyn Brown are controversial Sister Wives season 18 stars, and they’re reportedly unwilling to build a home on their Coyote Pass land. Recently, the couple paid off their shares, seemingly weary of the Battle of Coyote Pass, which ended in disaster. Three wives headed for the hills, rather than sticking around to try and make Kody’s patriarchal dreams come true. While Robyn and Kody are still together, they’re having problems, and Robyn recently called their marriage, “hell,” as per People. That’s quite a statement from such a devout Christian.

They’re still married, so why are Kody and Robyn so reluctant to put down roots on the land that Kody lovingly chose? Maybe it just has too much history. After 17 Sister Wives seasons, the bad blood has practically seeped into the Coyote Pass earth. Memories cast long, dark shadows, since so many squabbles about who got which plot happened before Meri, Janelle and Christine Brown flew the coop. While the war over the choicest plots may be one reason why they’d rather live anywhere else, it may not be the only reason.

Is Money Part Of The Problem?

According to a source who spoke exclusively with The Sunmoney’s an issue, as Kody and Robyn believe that building on the Coyote Pass land would cost a lot. Kody and Robyn own their Coyote Pass shares free and clear, but they already have a fancy house with plenty of land. That residence has five bedrooms and some posh amenities, including a wine fridge, underfloor heating, and a four-car garage. The house is reportedly worth $800,000, as per Showbiz Cheat Sheet.

If they decided to build at Coyote Pass, they’d need to sell or rent their existing home, and either option might require plenty of time and energy. They’ve settled in at their current residence, and may be right at home. Also, they’d need to spend, spend, spend in order to build a home that’s as good or better than what they have now. There are rumors that the two are prone to overspending. Even their daughter Gwendlyn Brown said as much publicly. So, they may find that staying put in their existing residence is easier and cheaper.

Janelle Brown Wants To Build At Coyote Pass

Montage of Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown and Kody Brown

The only Brown family member who’s willing to actually live at Coyote Pass is Janelle. She’s said that she plans to call it home one day, and not in an RV. She wants to build a home on the Arizona land, although Kody’s stated that she had difficulty scraping up enough cash for a down payment in the past. In season 18’s premiere episode, Janelle talked about her dream of having a home at Coyote Pass, and how disappointed she was that the development of the land was taking so long.

Janelle wanted the construction of her Coyote Pass house to start in the springtime, but no one else in the family wants anything to do with the land. Christine’s with her fiance David Woolley now, and they’re happy in Utah, not Arizona. Meri’s also in Utah, and it doesn’t seem like she wants to head back to Arizona, where her marriage fell apart. Although Meri remains single, she’s focusing on her well-being as she goes it alone, and seems to be making the most of her new normal. Before the split, she never spent much time with Kody anyway.

What Will Happen To The Coyote Pass Land?sister wives coyote pass map

If Janelle’s heart’s set on living at Coyote Pass, that will make it harder for Kody and Robyn to sell their plots, but selling might not be impossible. If someone snapped up the remaining plots, Janelle could meet new neighbors, but it would be nothing like her dream of a communal lifestyle where sister wives were close by, and the patriarch lived in his own home on the property. That Utopia is just not happening, and this may be for the best. There was never enough peace and love for this type of arrangement to be successful.

However, one interesting wrinkle is that Kody’s expressed interest in reconciling with his ex, Janelle. It’s surprising that he would talk like that as Robyn seems dead-set on a lifetime of monogamy with her husband. Janelle was sort of a buddy in Kody’s life. She was a great sounding board, offering advice without too many emotional displays. Recently, she told him off onscreen, swearing at him, but that’s not her usual MO. If Janelle was enticed back into the fold, what would happen to Kody and Robyn’s marriage? It’s not impossible that it would fail.

The Coyote Pass Saga Never Ends

Back in 2018, Kody bought the land for $820,000, planning to develop a polygamist’s wonderland filled with well-appointed homes and wives. The property had it all, including a pond and treed areas, both of which sparked arguments, as wives tried to claim the plots they liked the best. While the wives wanted their own Coyote Pass homes, Kody’s original vision was to build one large house that everyone could live in. If he succeeded, he might unite the family. Instead, the wives scattered, with Christine selling off a share valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars for just ten bucks.

In the summer of 2021, Janelle began camping out on the land in her RV. That’s the only time anyone lived there. She seemed to value her time out on the land, as Kody was consumed with his favorite wife, Robyn. Now, Janelle’s really on her own, but the option of re-joining the family is on the table.

If anyone goes back, it’ll be Janelle. She seemed to make peace with the odd dynamic of Kody having a favorite wife. She had her moments, but didn’t get as jealous as Christine, or as morose as Meri. If Janelle does decide to reconcile with Kody, it’s possible that he and Robyn might build a home at Coyote Pass one day. Right now, though, it seems like those two Sister Wives stars would prefer to stay in their fancy Flagstaff home, and try to put the painful past behind them.
