Did My Big Fat Fabulous Life star Whitney Way Thore exclude her half-sister, Angie, from the inheritance? It is a little murky exactly how she learned she had a sister. Now, she, Hunter, and her father, Glenn have reconnected with Angie but are there some details being left out? Read on for more details.
Did Whitney Way Thore Exclude Sister, Angie, From Inheritance?
In Season 11, it was revealed that Whitney Way Thore’s father, Glenn had fathered a daughter in 1968 during his service era. Unfortunately, the woman, Jackie, was young and unwed so she gave the baby up for adoption. Though Glenn thought about this child throughout his life, it was not until after his wife, Babs passed away that he made some moves. Whitney encouraged him to make a bucket list of things he wanted to do. One thing she felt was vital was for him to finally meet his long-lost daughter, Angie, who he supposedly got linked to via Ancestry.
He did FaceTime with her and she was thrilled to have new siblings and a father who looked like her. Whitney Way Thore seemed over the moon to have a new, extended family. Yet, did she make Angie pay a price to be included? Will her sister be entitled to any inheritance? A Reddit thread was started to discuss this. The OP wrote: “Did anyone else catch how she mentioned a will for her father, and her brother getting the money?? She’s jealous because of it clearly. Is this the angle for the show, trying to depict the ‘new’ family members, and Whitney as gold diggers?”
So, what did fellow Redditors have to say? They felt that power of attorney should be handed to Hunter when Glenn got older so that without Whit knowing. If she did find out, it would be a disaster. More so, fans noticed that she has only gotten worse as the episodes have gone on. One could not believe that Whitney would even say that Hunter is probably getting more money because he’s older. In response, another called her “crass.” So, where does Angie stand?
What About Angie?
It has been alleged that Angie had to say she would not go after Babs or Glenn’s estate in order to appear on the show. A Redditor did end up pointing this out. “It was rumored she forced Angie to sign something excluding her from any inheritance from Glenn. Her mentioning his will made me believe it!” Some think that Angie should not be entitled to anything but, at the end of the day, that is Glenn’s decision.
Do you think Whitney will do anything to control her father? Should someone else take over the reins at this point? Let us know and watch My Big Fat Fabulous Life Tuesdays on TLC.
