Did the divide between Christine and Robyn Brown start with a babysitter?

Did Robyn Brown step on Christine’s toes?
Many Sister Wives viewers think that Robyn Brown’s presence was going to cause problems from the start, especially when it came to Christine. When Robyn and Kody were courting, Christine was preparing to deliver Truely.
However, tensions didn’t exactly ease once Truely was born and Robyn settled into the family. And some Redditors think it all has to do with a babysitter.
“Robyn started this rift by hiring a babysitter,” a Redditor recently declared. “Christine’s job was always the kids. She took pride in it. In the earlier seasons when Robyn asked her parents or hired the family babysitter to watch her kids, I think she insulted Christine and took away her role. To act like a big family means being with the family. Robyn always kept her kids apart and separate. Why wouldn’t she just ask her sister wives for help with her kids? I remember Christine mentioning this a few times throughout the show too.”
Some fans weren’t sure that the babysitter was the start of the drama, but many agreed that it didn’t help the situation whatsoever.
“Robyn knew that Christine was the center of the family. She knew all the children (OG13) loved her. She was not about to let Christine develop a relationship with her children because Christine was a threat. That’s my take,” another Redditor agreed. “So, not only did Robyn disregard the family structure by keeping her family separate, she also spent unnecessary family resources on babysitters when she wasn’t even contributing.”
So what does the nanny do?
It goes without saying that the babysitter situation didn’t sit well with Christine. But Kody and Robyn seemed to keep using a nanny throughout their marriage. Few fans will forget Christine’s iconic line, “What does the nanny do?”
At this point, it doesn’t seem like there’s much hope to repair the relationship between Christine and Robyn. But they’ll likely have to act cordially toward one another anyway for the sake of filming.
