General Hospital (GH) spoilers show that Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) has the best reason to look forward to a new year—he’s engaged to the love of his life Michelle Lundstrom.

Steve Burton is Happily Engaged
Steve Burton shared his engagement news with fans last month. Now text messages brought to light during Burton and Gustin’s current legal battle allegedly show there to be a rivalry between Burton Michelle and Sheree.
Burton and Sheree Gustin were married from 1999 to 2023. Fans learned that the marriage was in trouble when Sheree posted a selfie showing herself pregnant.

Fans rushed to congratulate Steve, who had to issue the announcement that the child was not his.
Since then Sheree has had another child with her new partner and Steve became engaged to Michelle Lundstrom, known for Netflix’s Barbecue Showdown.
Trouble in Paradise
In Touch has reported that text messages between Gustin and Burton could indicate unresolved issues regarding Lundstrom. At this time the former couple are also engaged in a legal battle over child custody concerns.
Court documents concerning Burton’s custody battle with Gustin reveal that Burton left California and moved to Tennessee under the apparent assumption that Gustin wanted to move the family. In a message dated October 22, 2024, Burton wrote: “Sheree you have to stop this.”
“I work my a** to take care of everyone. Everyone. You moved and moved back and I’m not sure what world we’re living in where that is not the truth, and it’s documented.”
Steve Burton Moved From California To Tennessee
Burton noted that the move kept him from spending time with their daughter, Brooklyn: “Not one person believes I talked you into moving? You think it’s ok to behave this way and actually tell you lawyer that and that is troubling. And now you think not alternating holidays is right and that’s ok?”
Gustin responded: “Enough already with the moving and moving back. Nobody is saying I didn’t buy a house there. It was a horrible decision and you know darn well you kept telling me ‘the future is not in California.’”
“I literally came back to California after two weeks in October of 2023. You had a house until May 2024 and you still chose to get out early because you couldn’t get to Tennessee fast enough. You said you want to be there.”
Text Message Between Steve Burton and Sheree Gustin
A message from Gustin appeared to reference Lundstrom: “You’re just upset because I messed up your plan to be closer to your girlfriend. That’s fine. Live where you want but please stop already with the I moved and moved back.”
She added “I accommodate every single time you want to see Brooklyn. I never stop you. I guarantee you if it was turned around you would not do the same for me.”
Burton noted that “You’re so angry you stopped saying her name and have to say ‘girlfriend’ Geesh. [Remember] when you would say Michelle and then stopped. Please get help.”
