General Hospital Spoilers: Cameron Mathison Reveals GH Status – Confirms Drew Isn’t Going Anywhere

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one soap star is speaking out following some big news about an outside project. You may have heard by now that Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain) has a new Game Show Network gig since he’s hosting Beat the Bridge, which will first air this June on GSN.

Although many fans were happy to see Mathison thriving in his career, it also led to concerns about what this would mean for his role as Drew in Port Charles.

Some people understandably worried that maybe there wouldn’t be enough time in Mathison’s schedule to fit everything in.

Since his followers were curious about where things stood, Mathison decided to set the record straight about his GH status.

On Instagram, Cameron Mathison offered updates on the hosting gig itself and admitted he’d been keeping it under wraps for a while.

It turns out Mathison has already filmed Beat the Bridge, so he assured fans that it won’t affect Drew’s run in PC at all.

“Got some questions about how this affects General Hospital… it doesn’t!” Mathison said in the comments section of his post. “I already shot Beat The Bridge last year so Drew isn’t going anywhere:)”

That’s a relief for Drew fans who might’ve feared Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) return would push Drew off canvas.

Of course, anything can happen down the road, but Mathison seems confident that Drew’s sticking around.

It’ll be interesting to see what the future holds for Drew now that he’s broken up with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).

Drew’s scenes with Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) are starting to have an intriguing vibe, so could these enemies become lovers at some point?

Time will tell, but Drew is single and looking for a way forward now that he’s moving on from Carly.

Nina may find herself drawn to Drew despite their messy history as she ultimately tries to move on from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) as well.

Regardless, Drew seems poised to remain in Nina’s orbit now that they’re working together at Crimson, so our predictions hint at a surprising connection and plenty of drama.

General Hospital spoilers say Cameron Mathison will remain in the role of Drew despite his upcoming game show’s debut, but we’ll keep you posted on other important developments.
