Sister Wives star Meri Brown’s new boyfriend, Amos Andrews, has been surrounded by several controversies these days. Many sources have confirmed that he has been married four times in his life. One of his wives even ended up exposing him and made some shocking revelations.
Amid all this, fans learned about Amos’s court battle regarding child support with his ex-wife. The latter ended up accusing him of not paying the child support for around 7 years and made some shocking allegations against him as well. What did Amos’s ex-wife reveal?
Sister Wives: Amos’s Ex-Wife Accused Him Of Not Paying Child Support
Meri Brown’s new boyfriend, Amos, has had several relationships in the past. It was shocking for Sister Wives fans as they first found out about this. Apparently, his second marriage with Shannon Marie Martin was a chaotic one. He exchanged vows with her in Las Vegas on February 18, 1995. But it was a short-lived one, and the couple parted ways in 2000.
Before parting ways in 2000, Amos and Shannon welcomed a daughter, Tiffany Andrews. Hence, during their divorce, the court gave a “Joint Parenting Plan” to the couple with collective “care, custody and control” of their daughter. They even filed for bankruptcy together and faced several issues.
The noted plan stated that Amos was supposed to pay $373 per month to Shannon. This child support should have started from February 1, 2001, and lasted until their daughter’s 18th birthday.
Thesun recently revealed that Shannon turned back to court in August 2013 and accused Amos of not giving consistent child support to Tiffany. This pattern continued until Meri’s bf’s wages were garnished in 2008.
Shannon stated in the documents that “7 years of arrears total approximately $10,000” have been there, but Amos only pays $125 per month. She even explained that it has been allegedly difficult to reach out to the latter.
This is because Amos allegedly changes his numbers, contacts, and emails without even informing Shannon. The latter had to deal with this “sometimes multiple times a year.”
Sister Wives: Amos Allegedly Refused To Pay Expenses Of Tiffany
Shocking things about Amos have started to surface on the internet one by one, and Sister Wives fans can’t believe it. Shannon has already exposed him in the courts, and their documents are now creating headlines.
As per the source, Shannon stated in the documents that Amos refused to pay for “daycare, medical/dental/vision, and education” for Tiffany. Moreover, she claimed that she is the one who has been bearing all the expenses for the past 12 years.
After all these issues, Amos and Shannon ended up participating in a Parenting Conference in March 2014. They made a “full agreement” about the custody plan and altered some of its pointers.
Amos and Shannon waved off each other’s claims and settled the matter. So, as per the renewed agreement, the former only had to pay $404.53 in child support arrearages and $4,092.62 for childcare expenses.
As Tiffany started to live with Amos, Shannon would have to pay $158 per month to her ex-husband. The court further stated that both parents would have to equally pay for all the expenses of their shared daughter until she was under their care and control!
