By now, most Sister Wives fans know that Christine Brown married David Woolley back in October. Today, they’re living out very happy lives as husband and wife.
This weekend, fans will get a chance to see their beautiful wedding day unfold. However, it appears that David was a bit apprehensive before the pair said “I do.”
What exactly caused the jitters? Did it cause any hiccups at the wedding? Keep reading to get the scoop.
David Woolley was very nervous ahead of his special day
It seems like David Woolley and Christine Brown are a match made in heaven. Fans can’t wait to watch their upcoming wedding special.
Although the couple currently has no regrets, David admitted he was struggling with some anxiety beforehand. In a recent interview, the newlyweds opened up about their experience.
“We felt loved the whole day. I didn’t just feel loved by David. It was by everybody, all of our guests. It was an incredible experience,” Christine described the special day to Parade. “The wedding was everything I hoped for. It was romantic and fun and exciting. And it was beautiful…just a magical day.”
Although David agreed that their wedding was indeed perfect, he confessed to having some wedding day jitters.
“I was nervous about getting all the attention because I don’t like attention. It was like, ‘This isn’t for me,’” David told the publication. “And I realize it is, and it was a lot of fun. It was more than I ever expected it to be.”
The couple also opted to forgo a wedding party. Instead, their grandchildren joined them to walk down the aisle. Christine’s son Paedon walked her partway down the aisle, and then Christine’s father Rex walked her the rest of the way.
Without a doubt, it’s going to be a Sister Wives episode to remember.
“You’re gonna cry. It was so beautiful,” Christine told Parade.
Christine’s second wedding was a stark contrast to her first one
On Sister Wives, Christine Brown always said that her first wedding to Kody was very lackluster. She wanted something very different for her wedding with David. The groom chose the venue and ultimately settled on a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Moab, Utah.
“I just told him, ‘I don’t really care where we get married. I just want to be in a dress walking to you,’” Christine shared. “Because I didn’t do that before. But I wanted this fairy tale and it was all of my dreams come true.”
Ultimately, it seems that David’s worries subsided. The couple couldn’t be happier as they begin 2024 together.
Tune into TLC this Sunday night at 10 PM Eastern time to catch the first half of David Woolley and Christine Brown’s wedding special. There will be a second episode on January 14 at the same time.
