Sister Wives star Meri Brown seems to handle Robyn Brown a bit differently these days, it’s as if she has a hard time taking her seriously on the TLC series. Plus, viewers suggest from what they see, the close relationship that the audience thought they had might not exist anymore.
Sister Wives: Meri Brown Grins as Robyn Brown Weeps?
Robyn Brown’s display of drama seemed to hit Meri Brown’s bone while she watched a clip during the One-on-One segment. It was the scene where she talked to Kody Brown about the end of their marriage.
This episode had Meri, Robyn, and Kody out on Coyote Pass discussing Meri’s non-existent marriage with the shared husband.
Robyn whisked herself away in a meltdown of emotions, but her co-wife didn’t blink an eye. Sister Wives fans saw this as textbook child’s play on the fourth wife’s part.
When no one paid attention to her emotional event, she came back with an excuse that they needed her there. After all, she “speaks Kody,” a term that a couple of the other Sister Wives ex-wives find insipid.
But her once bestie no longer seemed to go along with Robyn like she used to. Viewers also suggested that her demeanor toward the youngest wife changed.
At one time, she showed sympathy when wife number four fell apart. Instead, in this scene, she seemed to crack a grin over how ludicrous it all sounded.
Meri Blows Robyn’s Cover?
A few times this season, Robyn made it sound as if she and Meri Brown were still very close. But from what Meri has said on Sister Wives, they don’t see each other much at all. It seems that Meri is the last of the wives to even talk to Robyn.
Christine Brown said she doesn’t want to have a friendship with Robyn because she doesn’t trust her. She claims she says one thing but does another. This is the same type of thing viewers were seeing between Meri and Robyn on the screen this season.
Robyn claims the Sister Wives patriarch wants to work on his relationship with his first wife. But Meri finds out differently. And then Meri told her this for the audience to hear as well.
But it looked to fans that this meltdown was just a ploy by the youngest wife to insert herself into the scene, just to be on the screen.
Sister Wives: Plug Pulled on Friendship?
Meri Brown dropped enough clues throughout this Sister Wives season that Robyn doesn’t have her back like a friend should. When Ysabel Brown visited her dad and his fourth wife around Christmas, Meri was in town. But Robyn didn’t call her and invite her over, despite knowing how close Meri is to Ysabel.
Meri Brown found that unsettling. Then, Robyn had all kinds of excuses for this. So, this just added more evidence for the fans as to the relationship between these two wives gone sour.
These two Sister Wives brides, who once called themselves “besties,” no longer seemed close. It also looks like Robyn took notice of Meri Brown’s best friend today.
She seemed a bit jealous of her friendship with Jenn. She said this season that she wished she could have the same friendship as Jenn with the woman she still calls sister wife. That is a term Meri won’t use for her.
So, it looks like Meri Brown’s best friend is Jenn Sullivan and not Robyn Brown. It also looks like she’s put distance between her ex-co-wife, both on and off the TLC series.
