Meri Brown Explains Where Coyote Pass Different Lot Sizes Originated

Sister Wives star Meri Brown is explaining where the Coyote Pass lot size differences actually originated. There has been a lot of chatter about the wives getting unequal lots. Yet, was there a method to this madness from the get-go? Read on for more details.

Meri Brown Explains Where Coyote Pass Different Lot Sizes Originated

When Kody Brown and family decided on Coyote Pass over Cottonwood, they knew they would each get a lot. There were still four wives at the time, in 2018, so the lots were divided into four. Then, Kody decided that he wanted his own lot, as well, and even maintained it would be a good spot for the children. One day, they could come home and it would be a nice place for them to lay their heads. When Christine Brown left the family, she sold her lot to Kody and fourth wife, Robyn Brown. This was so she could take the money from her Flagstaff home and move to Utah.

Now, Meri Brown is finally explaining why the lot sizes were all so vastly different. She discussed this on Sister Wives: Talk Back Part 2 as the cast was rewatching the Season 18 finale. That was the episode where Meri shared she was leaving the family but also was at Coyote Pass. She was breaking down the lots with Kody and according to People, this is why they are so different. First off, a question came in asking this:

“Why are the Coyote Pass lots all different sizes? It seems like the fair thing to do would be to make them all the same?”

To that, Meri Brown shared that the Browns “purchased them in different sized lots” and “That’s just how they came.” So, there appears to be no rhyme or reason despite Meri being angry that she was not getting a fair portion. As for Christine Brown, this was how she would rectify the situation: “How ‘bout, they get a surveyor out there to separate it into the four lots? ‘Cause inequality is where it’s at.”

Kody’s Justification

The math is not mathing because Meri Brown claims that is how they bought the lots, yes. However, should she be stuck with the small lot now that Christine is gone? No, especially since her money is going into the land just as Janelle’s is. At one point, Kody Brown claimed that Meri only had one child therefore that is why she had the smallest area. Then, he kept preaching how he wanted to have a lot for the kids but so many are estranged from him so will they really want to come back? There are so many factors and, as Christine pointed out, inequality.

Do you think this makes more sense or should they reevaluate the Coyote Pass lots? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and watch Sister Wives Sundays on TLC.
