Sister Wives’ Christine Brown Was Over the Moon (and Chugging a Drink!) in the Days Before Her Wedding

In the trailer for TLC’s wedding special, Christine Brown’s former sister wife Janelle thinks new love David Woolley “soothes that wound that Kody inflicted” during the couple’s plural marriage

Following a rocky divorce from Kody Brown after 25 years of marriage, Christine Brown has finally gotten her happy ending with David Woolley.

And now, Sister Wives fans are getting an inside look at how their fairytale wedding day went down.

On Tuesday, TLC unveiled the official teaser trailer for Sister Wives – Christine and David’s Wedding Special, showing viewers the lead-up to the romantic affair as well as the ceremony, itself. Throughout the two-part special’s first look, Christine is living her absolute best life.

“I’m ready to get married!” Christine, 51, shouts excitedly as she’s seen walking with her wedding dress in hand.

Christine’s family and loved ones are showing their support along the way. As her mother is shown expressing how “excited” she is for the big day, her former sister wife Janelle Brown gushes over the couple being “openly affectionate” with one another.

“[It] soothes that wound that Kody inflicted,” Janelle, 54, says.

Christine is ready to “let the party begin.” While on a boat with some of her wedding attendees, they cheer her on to chug what appears to be an unmarked alcoholic beverage.

“I’m excited to say ‘I do,'” Christine later tells her daughter Mykelti Brown Padron. “And he’s excited to say ‘I do’ to anything I want.”

But not everyone is as excited — or, for that matter, even invited to the fun-filled bash. Meri Brown, who had a strained bond with the bride before their respective splits from Kody, says: “I know Christine’s getting married soon. I don’t know exactly when it is.”

Kody, 54, also chimes in with his two cents about his ex-wife’s milestone.

“I knew David and Christine were going to get married,” he begins. “She made the accusation that I had—”

Robyn Brown, Kody’s only remaining wife, then cuts him off to say: “Aren’t we just so happy for them? We’re just so happy for them.”

Ignoring the naysayers, Christine says she’s “overwhelmed with happiness” as she prepares to walk down the aisle.

After announcing her separation from Kody in November 2021, Christine eventually found love again with David, 59. She confirmed their relationship in February and announced their engagement in April.

Christine and David tied the knot in October during a ceremony held in Moab, Utah. There were 330 guests in attendance.

“It’s a fairytale,” Christine told PEOPLE at the time. “It’s everything I never thought I would have. I get to walk down the aisle to David, him just looking at me the way that he does, it’s a dream come true.”

Sister Wives – Christine and David‘s Wedding premieres Sunday, Jan. 7th at 10 p.m. ET, with the second half airing the following week at the same time, on TLC.
