Fan-Favorite Actor Leaves, Another Returns To GH

Jonathan Jackson has been a favorite among General Hospital fans since he debuted as Lucky Spencer in 1993. He’s left the show and returned several times, but fans were still excited when he came back in the summer of 2024. The initial reports about his return indicated that the actor had signed a multi-year contract.

However, when Lucky left town earlier this week, it was for good. The actor announced his decision to leave the show again, despite initially intending to stay for a while.

The revolving door at GH just keeps moving. As Jonathan Jackson exited, another entered. It was announced earlier this week that Kelly Thiebaud is returning to the show. Fans are intrigued because her character, Britt, was killed off when the actress left the show in 2023.

With all the cast changes, viewers are wondering if Cameron Mathison will be the next to leave. According to many fans, Drew Cain can’t be redeemed after several disturbing storyline twists.

Viewers Disgusted By Drew’s Low Act During Custody Battle

Drew Cain/Quartermaine has had more storyline twists than a pretzel, but his current villain arc has turned fans against the character. He questionably began an affair with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen,) the wife of his nephew, Michael (Rory Gibson.)

The affair turned into a full-fledged relationship after Michael was injured in a fire and sent to Europe for treatment. But now Michael is back and in a tense battle for custody of the kids he shares with Willow, Amelia and Wiley.

It finally came out during the custody hearing that Michael had a one-night stand with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) that resulted in a pregnancy. Sasha went into labor during the hearing and gave birth to a daughter, Daisy.

As the custody battle raged on, Drew stopped to a new low to help Willow get custody. He told Ric (Rick Hearst) in earshot of Wiley (Viron Weaver) that Michael doesn’t want Wiley or Amelia now that he has a new baby.
