General Hospital Spoilers: Michael’s Custody Hearing Tip-Off – Premature Return Risks Health?

General Hospital Spoilers- Michael's Custody Hearing Tip-Off, Premature Return Risks Health?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) return to Port Charles changes the game for his custody hearing.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was so desperate to get Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) out of Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) home that she pressed the button a little too soon on scheduling a custody hearing.

These things generally take forever, and she was hoping a date would get scheduled around the time of Michael’s return, but when she received the June 2 date, she panicked.

After all, at that point, Michael was still at the clinic in Baden-Baden, and the last thing Carly wanted to do was tell her son about the date and jeopardize his recovery.

She knew he’d leave the facility instantly upon hearing the news.

So, she, Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy), and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) came up with a plan where they could win back Michael’s kids for him and then file for an emergency custody petition that placed the children in Carly’s care until Michael returned home.

With that said, Carly was warned by multiple people to fill her son in on what was going on, and she refused to.

Carly and Diane reasoned that Drew’s scandals are far too over-the-top for any judge to award full-time custody to him and Willow Tait-Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen).

Sure, technically, with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) arrested for drugging Drew, there’s speculation that she slipped him that medication, and he didn’t do it on his own free will, which explains his wild behavior with Jacinda (Paige Herschell).

Still, Tracy also needs to be proven guilty of that charge in a court of law.

Plus, Drew and Willow were caught on tape doing the deed on a nursery floor in the Quartermaine mansion, which didn’t look good.

The odds that Carly could gain custody of the children looked good, but at the end of the day, the only way Michael could positively secure custody of his kids was to return to Port Charles.

Did Jason, Diane, or someone else alert Michael to his custody issues and impending court date? Could Michael have left the German facility a little too soon?

Would this jeopardize his burn recovery and potentially leave him susceptible to regression or infection?

Michael looked great during the Friday, May 23 episode when he officially ‘came back’ to PC at the 2025 Nurses Ball, but that doesn’t mean he’s recovered 100 percent.

General Hospital spoilers indicate in the land of soaps, anything is possible, so if Michael left the clinic before getting the thumbs up from his medical team, could that leave him exposed to health issues in the near future?
