‘General Hospital’ What Is Carly’s Fate Is She Going To Die?
A taste of champagne might have serious consequences for Carly on General Hospital. Recent events have fans worried for the character’s fate. Notably, even Carly’s actress, Laura Wright, has weighed in on the issue.
General Hospital Fans Have Been Worried About A Few Characters As Of Late
Sparks have begun to fly between Carly and Jack Brennan, with the two recently enjoying drinks in Jack’s room. Meanwhile, Valentin lurks outside.
Carly took a sip of champagne. Enjoy it, she told Jack to try it himself. However, he felt something was off, realizing the bottle had been tampered with.
Jack knocked the drink out of Carly’s hand. Unfortunately, it was too late, she already drank enough to cause trouble. She then collapsed outside the room. Valentin could also be seen leaving the scene with a smirk, hinting he was involved with what happened.
Carly had been warned about a relationship with Jack beforehand, particularly by Jason. However, this all made her all the more interested in him.
Now, it was up to Jack to save her from the champagne, quickly calling 911. While in the hospital, it was determined that a dangerous poison called polonium was now in her system. As Carly’s pulse dropped, fans began to worry what will happen to the character now.
At this time, General Hospital fans have been wondering about the fate of a variety of characters in Port Charles. Notably, as previously reported, some fans were recently wondering if Valentin was leaving the soap.
Interestingly enough, Carly’s actress, Laura Wright, may have hinted at her fate in a recent interview. Speaking with Soaps, Wright, noting the poison wasn’t likely meant for her, shared, “You know, just having a glass of champagne with this man is deadly. So, what are you doing, Carly?”
Carly’s Interest For Excitement Might Have Dangerous Consequences
Wright also talked about how Carly had previously been warned about a relationship with Jack. She shared, “It’s just very interesting that her reaction, in true Carly fashion, is to then dig her heels in and say, ‘I don’t want anyone telling me what to do, I’ll figure it out for myself.’”
Wright continued, “Without even taking a beat, she’s like, ‘No, I know for a fact that [Jack] would never let anything happen to me.” She also noted that her relationship with Sonny has led her to develop a form of blind trust.
“He shot her in the head when she was giving birth to Morgan. She’s like, ‘Back off, everybody. I got this. I can make my own choices. You know, you’re telling me to stay away from Brennan, but if I got back together with Sonny, no one would care. It doesn’t make sense to her.”
Wright also hinted at Carly being naive, noting, “As far as being worldly and well-traveled, I don’t see that being Carly.” She continued, “She’s very local to her life in Florida and then Port Charles. And so, I think the life that Jack has lived and that he continues to live is one that Carly doesn’t know, and she finds it very exciting.”
However, this search for excitement might have just led her down a dangerous path. Wright’s comments, however, did not confirm whether or not she will survive the issue. In the end, only time will tell what will happen to the character on General Hospital.
