My Big Fat Fabulous Life – Who Is Whitney’s “Secret” Sister Angie?

Whitney Way Thore is back to share her life journey on My Big Fat Fabulous Life season 11, and it was revealed that she had a long-lost sister Angie she didn’t know about before.

The reality star and fitness app owner became famous when she shared her weight loss secrets on YouTube. Whitney recorded videos of herself dancing, and it grabbed people’s attention, eventually allowing her to have her own reality show.

As seen on My Big Fat Fabulous Life, Whitney is very close with her family. She always had a great relationship with both of her parents, Glenn Thore and Barbara “Babs” Thore. Whitney has an older brother named Hunter Thore, who is four years older than her.

In 2022, the Thore family suffered a tragedy when Babs sadly passed away at 76 years old from a stroke. Since her death, Whitney, Glenn, and Hunter have been grieving her loss and miss her dearly.

Some Facts About Whitney’s Sister Have Surfaced

While not much is known about Whitney’s half-sister Angie, she found out about her when her mom had her second stroke. Whitney wanted to keep Glenn occupied after his wife passed away, so he helped her move into her new place.

They did activities together such as exercising in the pool. However, it was surprising when Glenn mentioned she had a sister named Angie with a woman named Jackie, who he dated before he met Babs.

Whitney Lost Her Mother Babs

In 2017, Babs had her first stroke. She was diagnosed with a condition called cerebral amyloid angioplasty, which is an “untreatable progressive condition caused by proteins in the blood vessels of the brain that can cause dementia, seizures, or like in my mom’s case, brain bleeding (hemorrhagic strokes),” according to a statement by Whitney, reported by HollywoodLife.

The doctors told the Thore family that Babs would have many strokes in the future, and she had another stroke in December 2021. Whitney’s mother Babs had her last stroke in November 2022, which ultimately led to her death.

Glenn Met Angie After Babs Passed Away

Even though Glenn already knew about Angie, he didn’t meet her in person until after Babs passed away. On My Big Fat Fabulous Life, Whitney’s brother Hunter suggested that Glenn make a bucket list to help him cope with Babs’ death. The items on Glenn’s bucket list include getting a tattoo, and going to Switzerland.

Later in the season, viewers will also see Glenn reach out to Angie by calling her and setting up a plan to meet, along with Whitney and Hunter. My Big Fat Fabulous Life season 11 will show the family members meeting up for the first time, which will be heartwarming to watch.
