Fans of General Hospital have seen Steve Burton’s personal life make headlines over the past few months. Recently, the soap opera star announced his engagement around the start of the year. Since then, news has come out that the couple is planning on taking the next step in their relationship.
General Hospital Star Steve Burton Announced His Engagement Earlier This Year
For soap fans, Burton is known for playing Jason Morgan on General Hospital, first starting in 1991. He has played the character off and on over the years, most recently returning in 2024. In addition, he is also known for playing Dylan McAvoy on The Young and the Restless from 2013 to 2017.
Burton was married to Sheree Gustin from 1999 to 2023. Following this, he has started a relationship with Michelle Lundstrom, who notably appeared in the Netflix series, BBQ Showdown.
Back in January, news had come out that Burton and Lundstrom had announced their engagement. As noted by People, the two have had a private relationship. News that they were dating came out in May 2024. A month later, they were seen at the Daytime Emmy Awards together.
Taking to Instagram, Lundstrom recently shared a big update in a post with fans only a few months later. As Lundstrom wrote, “48 hours in [the OC]. I’m walking on sunshine no matter how many boxes are left to unpack. Thank you for all the well wishes on our move to California!”

In the comments, Chuck Matto, who is known for appearing on BBQ Brawl, shared, “Congratulations and welcome to California.” Lundstrom herself replied, “@chucksflavortrain thanks so much Chuck!!”

In the carousel post, Burton and Lundstrom could be seen kissing each other in front of an ocean view in the first photo. The photos, as well as a video, were brief glimpses at their new life in California. This includes a dragon statue and a colorful pool.
