General Hospital Spoilers: Cyrus’ Copycat Killer Strikes – Sonny’s Digitalis Overdose?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) copycat killer could strike and give Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) a digitalis overdose. What if someone uses Cyrus’ favorite method of killing to go after Sonny in the end?
Sonny is dealing with heart issues, so this has to be building somewhere.
Since Sonny’s delaying his surgery and focusing on other things, he may be setting himself up for disaster.
Although Sonny was planning on having his operation and recovery time out of town, that may not be an option.
If Sonny has a major cardiac episode in Port Charles, that could force immediate action at GH.
We can’t forget that an enemy tried to wipe Sonny out at his penthouse. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) got caught in the flames instead, but that hit was clearly meant for Sonny.
That means someone will surely want to finish the job at some point.
Since the penthouse explosion didn’t work and drew a lot of attention, the person responsible might take a subtler, simpler route this time around.
Sonny doesn’t believe Sidwell was responsible for the penthouse blowup, but we can’t rule him out yet.
Even if Sidwell wasn’t to blame, he’s still making bold moves against Sonny and could ultimately kick things up a notch.
It’s worth mentioning that Sidwell knows about Sonny’s cardiologist visit – and he knows Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) went with Sonny, too.
Sidwell may still feel rather possessive when it comes to Natalia, so that could be a factor in all this.
Whatever the case, Sidwell is aware of Sonny’s heart problems and could eventually use them to his advantage.
However, Sidwell wants to pretend he’s a decent guy and become a key player in PC, so he doesn’t need to raise any more red flags than he has to.
What if Sidwell sends someone to become a Cyrus copycat killer while Sonny’s in the hospital?
Could Sonny get a digitalis overdose and find his life at stake?
The cops seem convinced Cyrus is gone for good, so they might worry about brainwashed followers who are willing to keep his mission going.
It’d be a great way to throw the PCPD off the trail and divert attention from Sidwell’s own Sonny vendetta.
Of course, Sonny’s life would be saved in the end, but he could still have a close call that leaves everyone reeling.
Although Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) eliminated Cyrus, his go-to digitalis tactic could live on if Sonny gets targeted with it!
