General Hospital Star Shares Surprise Pregnancy

General Hospital alum Lindsey Morgan took to Instagram earlier this week to share an unexpected announcement with her fans. She’s expecting her first baby with husband Shaun Šipoš. He’s also an actor. The two married in 2023 after getting engaged in 2020.

She shared a video clip captioned, ““Surprise! Looks, like I’ll be needing bigger pants…” Her husband was tagged in the video, which began with a photo of the actress in a belly shirt. The next photo was a baby’s shirt with the words “plot twist” on it. The clip continued with a sonogram photo and a shot of the mom-to-be’s growing baby bump.

Also included in the montage is a dog looking less than impressed. The video ends with footage of Lindsey Morgan and her husband in a car, where she tells him that she’s pregnant.

The comments were flooded with well wishes, including one from former GH co-star Kristen Alderson, who wrote, “Omgggg 😍😍congratulations!!! You’re going to LOVE IT🥹❤️.”

Alderson, who fans remember as Starr Manning on One Life To Live, became a first-time mom herself in January 2024.

Why She Wasn’t On Soap For Long

TV viewers may know Lindsey Morgan from her stint as Raven on the post-apocalyptic show The 100. The show originally aired on the CW network from 2014 until 2020. It’s currently streaming on Netflix.

The actress also starred on CW’s Walker reboot alongside Supernatural alum Jared Padalecki. She left after two seasons, citing an injury. But one of her first roles was on the daytime soap General Hospital.

She joined the cast in 2012 as Kristina Corinthos-Davis. She took over the role from Lexi Ainsworth. Kristina returned to Port Charles to film a reality show called Mob Princess. However, Lindsay Morgan only stayed in the role for a year before leaving. The show brought Lexi Ainsworth back in 2015.

The fan-favorite was controversially replaced again in 2023 by DOOL actress Kate Mansi.

Lindsey Morgan never spoke out about why she left GH, but it was likely because fans didn’t accept her as Kristina.

However, it seems her career and personal life took off after leaving General Hospital. Share your congratulations to Lindsey Morgan on her impending bundle of joy in the comments!
