On Instagram, the star recently shared a video during a break on the show. Filming inside a Port Charles church, the cast was in the middle of a funeral scene. Benard noted, “I don’t quite remember what this day was, I’m sure you’ll let me know.”

As noted by Soaps, the actor was with actress Lisa LoCicero. Benard shared, “Lisa is a really really good friend of mine.” As he continued, “She’s a good person with a big heart.”

LoCicero is also known for her work on soaps. This includes playing Sonia Toledo on One Life to Live. However, on General Hospital, she is known as Olivia Falconeri.

Many General Hospital Fans Tried To Guess Who The Funeral Was For

On the soap, Olivia would serve as a love-interest to Sonny. After all, the two would end up having a son together with the character of Dante.

The actress herself also notably responded to Benard’s comments. As she shared, “Mo… we’ve been through a lot… in real life and reel life… you just keep on surprising me.. (in the best way).”

Taking to the comments, many fans tried to guess what the scene could be. Many assumed it was meant to be the funeral for Sam McCall, who was killed off months prior.

Other fans shared their love for the actors. Some other comments included:

  • “Two down to earth caring souls I met who touch my soul deeply in person and inspire me to keep going strong everyday”
  • “Love you and the entire cast! My sister and I watch GH religiously. I record it so we can watch while eating dinner.. Lots of love.”
  • “You two have great on screen chemistry… however I will always be a Sonny and Brenda die hard. I would love to see a reunion if only for a moment of you two”
  • “A good person with a big heart…. You just described yourself, Maurice. It’s no wonder you two are close friends. I love this.”
