Sister Wives’ Christine Brown admits Robyn is her daughter Mykelti’s ‘other mom’ after parenting struggles with ex Kody
CHRISTINE Brown has praised her ex-husband Kody’s only remaining Sister Wife, Robyn, in a rare white flag moment.
On Sunday’s Sister Wives episode, Christine said that Robyn had been like “another mom” to her daughter Mykelti, 27.
Christine and Kody’s daughter Mykelti spent time with her dad on the new TLC episode.
Mykelti was seen bringing her daughter Avalon, 2, over for playtime with Kody and a happy-looking Robyn, 45.
“Amidst all the struggles we’re having as a family, I love that Mykelti is still warm to us,” Kody said in a confessional.
“She wants to have a relationship with Robyn; she wants us to have a relationship with Avalon.
Mykelti was also joined by her husband, Tony Padron, as the group played in the living room.
The episode then cut to Christine in a confessional.
‘SHE JUST LOVES HER’
The quite recently remarried Christine said: “When Robyn and Kody were courting, Mykelti wasn’t treated very nice by her older siblings.
“They didn’t know what to do with her.
“And Robyn saw it and said ‘she’s super cool she’s amazing.’
“And she really took Mykelti in and just loved her.
“She’s definitely been like another mom to Mykelti.”
The episode showed that Robyn was also on a video call when Mykelti’s daughter was born in 2021.
“She was at Avalon’s birth. And she’ll be at any of Mykelti’s big moments,” Christine added.
SNUBBED FROM WEDDING
Christine married her fiancé David Wooley, 59, in a romantic ceremony that took place in Moab, Utah, on October 7.
A few days later, Christine’s ex, Kody, was seen in Flagstaff with his last-standing wife Robyn, 45, in exclusive photos obtained by The U.S. Sun [seen below].
In the photos, Kody, 54, was seen with his arm around Robyn’s waist as they walked side-by-side into a school to pick up one of her children.
The father of 18 wore a plum-colored T-shirt and dark denim jeans, while his wife opted for a royal blue shirt and black jeans.
While they appeared serious before entering the building, after their meeting, they appeared to be in a lighter mood as Kody was seen laughing at something Robyn was explaining.
ALSO OFF THE LIST
The pair was snubbed from Christine’s special day, as was Kody’s other ex-wife, Meri Brown.
Janelle Brown was the only sister wife who attended the fairytale ceremony along with 330 other guests.
Meri, 52, rather was seen giggling and smiling on her friend’s Instagram Story while on a tractor ride in a cornfield.
It might come as a bit of a surprise to some Sister Wives fans, especially since Meri and Kody’s only child, Leon Brown – formerly Mariah – attended with their spouse Audrey Kriss.
In photos seen online, Christine and Kody’s children in attendance included Aspyn, 28, Mykelti, 27, Paedon, 25, Ysabel, 20, and Truely, 13.
Gwendlyn, 21, did not attend her mom’s nuptials.
Mykelti spilled during a livestream Q&A: “I honestly don’t know. I don’t know. Gwendlyn didn’t tell me why she wasn’t there, and when she didn’t show up it was kind of a shock to me. I didn’t know she wasn’t going to be there.”
Christine announced her split from Kody in November 2021, as she moved to Utah with their daughter, Truely.
Meri and Janelle followed suit by announcing their splits in December 2022.
