Whitney Way Thore flew out of the USA via Spain to Morocco for a vacation, and there, she seems obsessed with cats on the streets. TLC fans think it’s odd because there are many felines in the country but they don’t seem to be abused.
Whitney Way Thore Got Bashed Over Moroccan Animals
Lots of videos and pictures arrived of the MBFFL star in Morocco. Perhaps her dad, Glenn Thore is taking them. On her way there, fans saw her posing with her father in Madrid. She’s also with a friend, and when she shared about going for a ride on a camel, her friend led the animal around. While the TLC star seemed thrilled, her followers were not. So, many of them slammed her for ignoring animal exploitation and cruelty.
Whitney Way Thore might think that the cats on the streets of Morocco are cruelly treated. Suddenly, the MBFFL star started sharing multiple reels of them on Instagram. The first one arrived two days ago when she went to a market. There, she found a cute street cat and got all poetical about pursuit and rejection. The next one came a day later, and she spoke about how she couldn’t find it again. Never mind, she found another cat to coo over.

Later, the TLC star went full caftan-style to the market again. This time, there were no photos or videos of the cats. In her caption, she said:
UPDATE: Another day without my baby. The shopkeeper where he usually sits is now trying to get me interested in other local felines, but my heart remains steadfast. There’s always tomorrow.
That sort of post by Whitney Way Thore would hardly escape the attention of Redditors. When a post went up about her wearing a caftan, some unfriendly comments arrived. However, the conversation soon turned to the cats.
One TLC fan wrote:
She keeps bothering cats, calling herself “Mommy” to them, and trying to get them to come with her.
In the discussion, TLC followers had a lot to say about those felines in Morrocco. Some of them visited the country before, so they seemed to know about them. Here are some of those comments:
- She popped up on my IG feed for some reason…and she was harassing some cat calling herself “Mommy” over and over again. Someone off camera said something like “that’s two cats now” and “how do you know he’s a stray?” I hope she’s not dragging these poor animals back to the US. 🙄
- It may very well be someone’s cat. In some countries, a lot of people keep their cats outside. I don’t think it would make any difference to her though, I wouldn’t put it past her to try and “white savior” some Morocan’s (sic) cat!
- I was in Morocco. There are a LOT of strays, but everyone feeds them and give[s] them love. It was one of my favorite parts of being in the Suq.
- That’s how it is where my husband is from too. There are neighborhood cats that aren’t exactly pets but, aren’t exactly fending for themselves either. They don’t need some crazy cat lady from the US to take them home!
