Tragic Details About General Hospital’s Kelly Monaco In 2024

Sam Is Dead on GH But Kelly Monaco Isn't Done Yet! | Soaps In Depth

General Hospital star Kelly Monaco absolutely loved her job as Sam McCall on the hit ABC soap. But her world came crashing down this summer when she was told that she would be let go after over two decades with the soap.

But back in 2003, Kelly told Soap Opera Digest, “I love my job. I love being here every day, I love the schedule…. You don’t have a life when you’re doing this show, but that keeps me going.”

By now, a lot of people would have expected another daytime television show like The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless or even Days of Our Lives to swoop Kelly in and hire her for their soap. But that simply hasn’t happened.

After all, when her former co-star Steve Burton got fired from Days of Our Lives, it didn’t take very long for Days of Our Lives to put him on the payroll.

It’s also being rumored that Kelly wants to tell the truth – or at least her version of the truth – about her supposed ongoing feud with General Hospital Executive Producer Frank Valentini.

Apparently, he and actor Billy Miller had butted heads a few times in the past. Not only that, but Kelly was also involved in the off-screen drama as well.

What’s Next For Kelly Monaco In 2025?

Frank Valentini has so far been keeping very quiet about the matter but there’s no doubt that he has to be worried about what Kelly might possibly say about him and how the show operates when it’s her time to talk.

HOT NEWS! General Hospital Star Laura Wright Opens Up About A Special Memory

General Hospital star Laura Wright says that her first day on the job is certainly one that she will never forget. The actress, who is best known for her role as Carly Corinthos, first began her career in Port Charles back in 2005 and she says that it was a day that she still remembers very well.

General Hospital Star Laura Wright Opens Up About A Special Memory

“My first day, I had to work all day long, in full makeup,” Laura recalled to Soaps In Depth, “and you never saw anything but my hand. It was the train crash that everybody was in years ago. Don’t you love how, whenever there’s a crisis on the show, everyone’s there?”

Laura continued, “I was in shock because when I left GL, we didn’t have dress rehearsal anymore and just went straight to tape with one take. I got to General Hospital and we were shooting the crash ’til midnight. ‘What the hell? I thought those days were gone?’ I think the next day, you saw my face… but I don’t think I spoke yet.”

With that said, Laura added that she was definitely a bag of nerves even though she was already a seasoned soap star, thanks to the many years she spent on Guiding Light.

“The first day I worked, it was really busy,” she explained. “We were doing stunts, and there was smoke and fire. I was nervous and trying to figure it all out. It was my third soap and even though it’s all the same thing, every show does it differently. So I really just sat back and watched. I also didn’t really know anyone but [former THE CITY leading man] Ted King (ex-Alcazar). I kind of did my own thing.”
