On June 26, Michael posted a pre-recorded video on social media revealing that he’s leaving the ABC sudser with his only one day of shoot remaining. He expressed gratitude for his time on GH and to all the fellow cast and crew members.
The actor revealed that bidding farewell is not easy as he has always been partial to the Irish goodbyes where one leaves without informing anyone. But he said that GH fans deserved better, and he wanted to inform them before actually going off the screen from the soap.
Michael’s Two bits for the Character
While talking to Soap Hub in an interview after his exit from the soap, Michael mentioned that it was hardest to say goodbye to his on-screen daughter Violet. He said their bonding was so natural and quick ever since the actress Jophielle Lovejoined the show as his daughter.
