The TLC star drank alcohol in previous seasons of the show. Well, she sometimes attended parties or went on vacation to tropical islands. And, she didn’t seem too shy about putting a glass of alcohol to her lips. Admittedly, she didn’t get drunk on camera and start staggering around, but she seemed to have a taste for it on occasion.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans discussed the drinking because Whitney Way Thore went to Alabama. There, she met the family of her half-sister, Angie. Sitting outdoors, they all enjoyed a beer. At the time, Whitney said that she doesn’t “usually” do “beer or champagne,” but she’d make an exception this time. Additionally, she mentioned beer and champagne again, when people started jumping into the water.

On Reddit this week, an OP started a discussion about whether the MBFFL star gave up drinking.
Is Whitney sober? Did anyone else catch when she said on the latest season that she doesn’t drink anymore? Anyone know more about this?
In response, one MBFFL viewer suggested that Whitney Way Thore “said she doesn’t drink as much anymore.” Other responses seemed to indicate that she drank quite a lot. meanwhile, others talked about alcohol and Ozempic.
- She was drinking multiple times during the season with her new family members. I think she was just saying she doesn’t typically drink much in her everyday life.
- If she’s on one of those modern weight loss drugs, I heard it not only quiets the food noise but you don’t drink much, if at all on those drugs. This is not personal information. This is just what I have read from other peoples experiences.
- I take Ozempic. I do still drink, but I get drunk off of much much less than I used to. So I’m more careful now. That could be why she is drinking less than she used to.
- From experience, those drugs take out food noises and alcohol noise. I’m in recovery and rarely get cravings but it really hit home that even at my most stressed I didn’t think of alcohol while on wegovy.
Most TLC fans suspect that Whitney takes Ozempic. That accounts for why they suspect she cut back on alcohol because it seems the drug and alcohol don’t mix well.
