Fans who have been watching General Hospital for years may think they know the show inside and out, but Steve Burton (Jason) used his social media to give viewers a look at the hospital nurses station that they’ve probably never seen before!

“Hey what’s up,” he said in his selfie video shot backstage at the soap. “I’m at work today. I’m at the top of the nurses hub. I don’t think I’ve been up here before. Maybe once. But this is kind of where we park all the equipment, in the nurses hub, before we start our day. So we can shoot this awesome show for you. Have a great day.”

Characters rarely go up those stairs on the hospital set and we certainly don’t often see the view from above on the show… especially not like this! Burton panned his camera phone across the studio where you can see all of the lighting rigs hanging from the ceiling and landed on the nurses station set. It’s clearly not ready for shooting yet as there is some furniture stacked up and not in place, and there are multiple boom mic stands parked by the elevators!

Burton is very familiar with television sets, especially those of daytime dramas, having gotten his start as Harris Michaels on Days of Our Lives back in 1988. He began playing Jason Quartermaine (later Morgan) on GH back in 1991, and during a break from the ABC soap joined the cast of The Young & The Restless as Dylan McAvoy from 2013 to 2017.

Hopefully, Burton will continue to capture future backstage shots of the GH studio to give fans even more peeks at things they might never have seen before!
