Cameron Mathison Talks Up GAF, While Reminiscing About Hallmark
Just recently, Cameron Mathison talked up his new network Great American Media, the parent company for GAF, as he reminisces about his old network, Hallmark. What does the General Hospital star have to say when he compares the two networks? Also, what is his big revelation about his upcoming Great American Christmas co-star?
Mathison dishes it up. What does he have to say?
Cameron Mathison Compares Great American Media To Hallmark
On Wednesday, Cameron Mathison spoke to US Magazine about his transition from Hallmark to Great American Media, GAF’s parent company. He revealed that he is “all in” when it comes to working for the competition. This was after several years of making Holiday movies like A Merry Christmas Wish with Jill Wagner for Great American Family, while still starring in the Hannah Swensen Mysteries with Alison Sweeney.
“I love working there and [on] my Murder She Baked series with Allie Sweeney and everybody else. Those are my friends, and I love doing those movies, and they’re still going.”
However, that balance between the two networks has dramatically changed. Last November 20, the 54-year-old actor signed a deal with Great American Media. Moreover, in this interview, he revealed how long this contract is for. After sharing that he still has “a lot of stuff on Hallmark,” while “shooting a lot of stuff on Great American Family,” he guessed that fans watch both networks.
However, if fans want to see him in the next three years, it will have to be on GAF. That is what his contract is for. Mathison called this “an amazing opportunity, and shared, “that to me is such a gift.”
What Is New Movie With CCB About?
One thing Cameron Mathison never got to do on Hallmark was star in a Christmas movie with Candace Cameron Bure. However, the two ex-Hallmark actors are now paired up for the Great American Christmas movie Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells.
Cameron shared some details about the movie. “We’re filming the last two weeks of August, first week of September. It’s a really fun script.”
Next, he shared his enthusiasm about working with “one of the queens of Christmas.” He added, “I love the dynamic…Candace and I have been talking about working together for a very long time, and so that’s finally happening.”
Most of all, he believes that his fans from Hallmark will be tuning in to see this. “I think a lot of the viewers are not watching both.”
Cameron Mathison fans, will you be tuning in to GAF to watch his upcoming holiday movie?
