General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will have a conversation with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) at the Metro Court pool during the week of June 17-21. Sam will have a favor to ask Carly, so that may involve something related to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and her attempt to figure out what the FBI’s holding over him.

Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) managed to get access to the right documents, but he’s got a lot of information to sort through.

According to Spinelli, it could take a month or more before he’s able to nail down what the FBI’s leverage is.

Sam may get impatient and seek Carly’s assistance on some sort of workaround. Perhaps Sam will feel like if Jason’s going to confide the real story to anyone, it’ll be Carly.

Sam might think Carly can pry the truth out of Jason and save them all some trouble since Spinelli has run into some snags.

Whatever the case, Sam may inadvertently tip Carly off to the person is actually protecting.

The more Carly mulls it over, the more she may realize that Jason probably would’ve just said he was protecting Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) if that were the case.

Jason told Sonny that he was protecting himself instead, but Carly knows Jason likely would’ve picked prison over being an FBI informant if that were true.

This has to be a situation where Jason is protecting someone else – and GH fans know that person is Carly.

As a result, Carly’s heart may sink once she has a horrifying realization during the week of June 17-21.

The wheels may start turning for Carly as she mulls over Sam’s mission for answers.

Carly may eventually realize she’s the person who makes the most sense here as someone Jason cares deeply for AND someone who was tied to the mob.

This may lead to Carly having a tearful discussion with Jason and demanding to know if he’s been protecting her this whole time.

Carly may seek updates from Jason and push him to confirm that news.

Jason has indeed been trying to keep Carly out of the slammer since she could go down for RICO violations and criminal conspiracy charges.

If Jason hadn’t cooperated, Carly could’ve spent 20 years or more behind bars.

Although Jason will have no regrets about doing whatever it took to preserve Carly’s freedom, she’s bound to be upset over how much he’s risked and sacrificed for her.
