General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is currently on a quest to get her law license back.
Several years ago, Alexis was a patient of Dr. Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan), a therapist and colleague of Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom).
Alexis and Neil developed feelings for one another and eventually ended their professional relationship so they could become romantically involved.
Neil neglected to tell Alexis that had to wait two years per the medical board and they shared a kiss. But someone notified the medical board of their relationship and Alexis was called to testify.
General Hospital Spoilers – The Downfall Of Dr. Neil Byrne
The night before the hearing, Alexis and Neil slept together but were seen going together by Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Alexis lied the next day that her relationship with Neil was completely platonic.
Neil was able to keep his license until the medical board discovered that both Alexis and Neil lied. Not only did Neil lose his license as a medical professional but Alexis lost her law license as well.
Having nothing to more to lose, Alexis and Neil decided to move forward with their relationship. Tragically, the night they made love, Neil died from a drug overdose.
GH Spoilers – Brenden Byrne discovered the truth about Harmony!
It was almost two years before the truth about what happened to Neil was revealed. Harmony (Inga Cadranel) broke into Alexis’ home and killed Neil with an injection of heroin.
Neil’s brother Brenden Byrne (Joshua Cox) arrived in Port Charles and discovered that Harmony was once Neil’s patient. He blackmailed Harmony and was killed after a confrontation with Harmony.
Alexis soon discovered Brendon’s body. Harmony eventually was revealed as Neil and Brenden’s murderer and she died soon after when she was struck by a car!
General Hospital – The rise of Fergus Byrne!
There was a third Byrne brother, Fergus Byrne (Lane Davies). Fergus was on the board that was responsible for Alexis losing her law license. He did recuse himself from Alexis’ case but his partner in his law firm took his place.
Now that Alexis is in the process of appealing that decision, she will likely come face to face with Fergus.
Fergus lost both of his brothers and may still blame Alexis for their deaths. If Neil had never met Neil in the first place, both Neil and Brenden would likely still be alive.
If Alexis does get her license back look for Fergus to seek revenge against Alexis one way or another. But most likely Fergus and Alexis will find themselves attracted to one another.
