Seeking Sister Wife star Garrick Merrifield may become a fan favorite because of his newborn baby, Leia Lilly Melisa Merrifield. The Colorado man started pursuing a polygamous lifestyle a few years ago. While he was happily married to his wife, Dannielle Merrifield, he felt it was God’s plan for them to add a sister wife into their family. When Garrick and Dannielle started looking for potential partners, they met Brazilian woman Roberta, who immediately connected with them. She loved them back and agreed to be part of the Merrifield family.
In Seeking Sister Wife season 4, Garrick and Dannielle dated Lea. The Christian couple felt she had the potential to be a part of their family. Garrick’s public image hasn’t changed since he debuted on TLC. He isn’t well-liked and comes across as a self-centered man. Garrick doesn’t seem to respect or love his wife, who has given up so much for him. Since Garrick has been so involved in looking for a sister’s wife rather than building a stable family with his wife, it’s hard to see him as a good guy. However, there’s still hope for him and his daughter, with Dannielle being a blessing in disguise. Garrick could be a fan-favorite star if he shows true behavioral changes.
Most people think that he uses his religion as an excuse to find another wife. If he wants that perception to change, he’ll have to show true change by showing his commitment towards his daughter.
He’ll have to show that he cares more for his family with Dannielle than polygamy. Viewers will probably start liking Garrick once they see him making sacrifices for his daughter and wife.
