General Hospital Spoilers: Is Nina & John’s Romance Brewing – Another Way to Get Under Carly’s Skin?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) recently came to John “Jagger” Cates’ (Adam Harrington) rescue and even smiled over him offering up his phone number in the aftermath. There’s definitely been some flirting going on, but is all this one giant tease that’s not really going anywhere?
It’s easy to see that GH writers are trying to develop some feelings between Carly and John, but everything will change once the truth about Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) FBI arrangement comes out.
Carly will inevitably be furious with John for forcing Jason into that situation.
Jason has been protecting Carly from John’s prison threat all this time, so all this flirty stuff will fizzle fast after that’s revealed.
Will Nina continue her history of dipping into Carly’s reject pile and end up with John next?
Nina had a romance with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and then married Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) before hooking up with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), so there’s definitely a pattern here.
Since Nina tends to get romantically involved with men Carly has been interested in, John might be next in line.
Of course, the show’s been playing up the messiness of Nina and Drew getting passionate behind closed doors, but that doesn’t seem like something that’s going to grow into a major love story.
Drew has been flirting with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) like crazy lately, so we have to believe those two are inching closer to a new romance instead.
Maybe Nina will eventually get a new romance of her own if she lands in bed with John down the road.
Nina might wind up falling for John – perhaps to spite Carly at first and then for true love once real feelings grow.
Whatever the case, Nina’s going to need a special guy in her life sooner or later, especially now that she’s signed the divorce papers that Sonny sent and removed her rings.
Our predictions suggest John may need a love interest other than Carly as well due to the tight grip he has on Jason.
Carly may not be so quick to forgive and forget, so John may have to move on and could perhaps land in Nina’s orbit.
