General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) love life is a bit up in the air right now, but she may find clarity sooner or later. Who is Carly’s romantic endgame? Is there one man who Carly’s meant to be with?
It seems like GH writers are trying to inch Carly toward a potential romantic pairing with John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington), but that relationship may already be doomed.
John used Carly’s RICO violations and potential criminal conspiracy charges to force Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to work undercover for the FBI.
It’ll be tough for Carly to get past that once the truth comes out.
As for Jason and Carly, they seem planted firmly in the friend zone since they’ve both agreed they like the way things are now.
It feels like the writers may have dropped any romantic element to Carly’s relationship with Jason and reverted back to their deep long-term friendship – which is honestly the way it should be.
Of course, the ship has seemingly sailed when it comes to Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), too.
Drew could never deal with Carly always putting Jason above all else – not to mention he’s hooking up with Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) now, which would infuriate Carly if she knew.
Although many fans saw some real chemistry between Carly and Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure), he’s incarcerated and in cahoots with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) on a terrible plot against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
No matter how many new romantic options pop up, none of them seem like they could lead to a lasting relationship for Carly.
Could that be an indication that Carly will reunite with Sonny in the end?
Carly previously vowed to get back everything she lost – and thanks to Jason, she’s getting her half of the Metro Court back.
Maybe it’s only a matter of time until Carly gets Sonny back as well.
Things are going to get worse before they get better when it comes to Sonny and Carly’s fractured bond, but Jason found it hard to believe that all the love they shared was gone.
Carly tends to rant about Sonny these days and will have quite a faceoff with him soon enough.
Even so, Sonny and Carly have a connection that could be fully restored down the road.
Once Sonny’s on the proper meds again and finds a path out of crisis mode, he might settle down and mend fences with Jason.
That could be step one toward pushing Sonny and Carly back together as a couple.
