‘1000-Lb Best Friends’ Why Fans Say Scott Is The Male Whitney Thore
After the new episode of 1000-Lb Best Friends premiered on TLC this week, many fans felt shocked and appalled at Scott Bagwill’s behavior on camera.
As the friends went to a weekend cabin getaway, drama brewed. The women felt that Scott was being bossy and egotistical.
The situation came to a head over dinner when Tina called out Scott over the badly made meatballs.
There were tears and yelling, which made for great reality television. However, many fans found the scene incredibly offputting.
On Reddit, some viewers even compared his outburst to Whitney Way Thore’s onscreen behavior.
1000-Lb Best Friends Viewers Aren’t Fond Of Scott Bagwill
When 1000-Lb Best Friends Season 3 began, fans felt intrigued by the new cast members. Tina Arnold quit the show, leaving TLC to replace her. The network cast a different woman named Tina, and Scott Bagwill.
Now that fans have gotten to know Scott better, they prefer the old seasons without him.
“Scott was incredibly cringe this week,” a 1000-Lb Best Friends viewer posted on Reddit. “Just…wow…A lot was going on this episode LOL. The sobbing and tantrums was hilarious though 😭”
“Cringe with the mommy stuff, but turns around and says part of the reason he gets the big bedroom is because he’s the man in the group. I’m growing to loathe this person.
I want him to get healthy and then just go away. He needs to change the attitude, since he says he wants to date… it’s not just gonna be his weight holding him back from finding a partner,” another Redditor wrote.
This prompted a reply from another viewer who drew parallels to My Big Fat Fabulous Life star, Whitney Way Thore.
“He is the male WWT!!! They should definitely get together…” another viewer pointed out.
Some Viewers Think TLC Stars Have Emotional Issues
There might be a connection between Whitney Way Thore and Scott Bagwill, but some Redditors pointed out that their emotional issues seem to be common among other TLC stars.
“It is interesting that between this show, 1000-Lb Sisters, My Big Fat Fabulous Life, and My 600-Lb Life that most of the people featured are so childish.
Like they never matured past 8 years old and instead of learning how to deal with conflict and growing, they ate their feelings and never dealt with anything.
It makes total sense. Over these shows, the trend is very apparent,” one Reddit user noted.
